Canoeing & hunting in Rivers Kielajoki & Kaamasjoki
Kielajoki is very pure trout river that runs to River Kaamasjoki after about 5km partly rocky river. Kaamasjoki is also partly rocky and has many easy rapids on the way to Kaamanen. Before Kaamanen there are some rapids those are too difficult for beginner to paddle thru and impossible to walk & swim the canoe from the shore. So recommendations for kayakers & advanced canoers. Hunting water birds is good option, fishing trouts & graylings too. Nice overnight places, no buildings on the way, first ones just a few km:s before Kaamanen village. Good terrain for cloud berry picking too... The whole trip about 40km so good 2 days river.
Canoeing in Sevettijärvi
Sevettijärvi region in Northern Lapland is rich of lakes, those it has thousands. It means also good fishing. We did a small canoeing trip from Supru village to Nilijärvi. The route to the start of the river that runs to Nilijärvi Lake is very nice with beaches and narrow bays. The river to Nilijärvi Lake I would not recommend to anybody. We were lucky when the water level was high. The river is very rocky and you might break your canoe on it. From Nilijärvi on is canoeing again enoyable.

It is about the time when we can not see the sun anymore until in the end of January. Luckily we have now good snow covering ground and trees. It is beautiful. Skiing is possible in some skiing resorts and after this week also in Inari village surrounding. I have mainly done walks in the forest.
One nice trip was in Muotkatunturit with Joni Kumlander. There was good snow for hiking and to pull a gear in sleighs. Ice was already about 15cm so fishing with an axe as an equipment was not succesful. But great hiking still a few days.
